Working with industry, conservation bodies and
statutory agencies to restore rare plant populations
Foreign Species
Our primary interest is in native rarities but we occasionally branch out into more exotic realms. We recently obtained Pygmy Rwandan Waterlily Nymphaea thermarum under special licence from Kew Gardens and Bonn Botanic Gardens in Germany. This lovely little plant is now extinct in the wild but is secure in a handful of botanical gardens around the world and there are even plans for its repatriation back to Rwanda. Because of international licensing laws we are unable to distribute material of this plant.
